With more than 40 golf teams participating, the first annual Project Launch Charity Golf Scramble was completely sold out! King of Aces Mancil Davis … former NFL Oakland Raiders/Cleveland Browns star Gerald Irons … world-renowned golf course architect Robert von Hagge … and Pastor Doug Parsons of Community Christian Church, among other celebrities, officially rolled out the “red carpet” Nov. 19, 2007, at Willow Creek Golf Club, 24525 Northcrest, Spring, Texas.

Davis, known worldwide as the King of Aces for his PGA World Record 53 Holes in One and World Record 10 Double Eagles, was Master of Ceremonies and auctioneer for the Live Auction. von Hagge, architect/designer of the spectacular Willow Creek Club, welcomed participants and guests before the Scramble began, and Gerald Irons was the featured speaker.

Funds raised will enable Project Launch to provide financial assistance for children and adults with learning disabilities. Project Launch, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, was established by a group of dedicated medical and educational professionals, corporate and community leaders, parents and interested individuals working together to improve access, services and funding for children and adults with learning/behavioral disabilities. Our goal is to maximize every individual’s potential by providing funding for superior brain-based learning skill services to children, adults, adolescents, and their families. Through a variety of fundraising events and activities, we strive to provide financial opportunities for the most cutting edge techniques and services to allow every individual to reach their fullest learning potential.

As the newly appointed CEO of Project Launch, Inc., a 501(c)(3) organization, Dr. McBride’s outstanding fundraising, grant writing and donor cultivation experiences will enhance opportunities for children and adults with learning, behavioral and physical disabilities.
